Full Job Description
AECOM is seeking an experienced Civil or Site Engineer with background in aviation or site design based in Philadelphia, PA. This role is ideal for candidates with expertise in the design and construction of airside civil projects such as runways, taxiways, aprons, and other aviation-related site designs.
Key Responsibilities
• Project Design & Coordination: Oversee all phases of design for mid-sized projects, ensuring high-quality and timely deliverables.
• Design Preparation: Independently prepare or lead the preparation of design deliverables, working within established budgets and schedules.
• Team Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a collaborative work environment.
• Cross-disciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with a multi-disciplinary team, including structural, geotechnical, mechanical, electrical, and civil engineers, as well as architects, to ensure integrated project solutions.
• Client Engagement: Act as a client liaison, maintaining positive client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
• Software Proficiency: Utilize software tools, including AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office suite, to facilitate design and project management.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
• BA/BS + Four years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
• EIT/FE Certification
Preferred Qualifications:
• Master's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
• 6 plus years of experience in civil or site design, preferably with aviation projects.
• Pennsylvania PE registration (or eligibility to obtain within 6 months of start date).
• Experience with aviation construction projects.
• Experience leading project teams and mentoring junior engineers.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
