Overview

The Project Manager II, leads the planning, design, delivery, and construction services on site civil engineering and land development projects through leadership and direct technical involvement. This role will work with both public and private clients across multiple sectors to meet project demands while ensuring timely, high-quality project execution and delivery. This is a full-time, salary position.

 

Responsibilities
  • Contributes to the management of all phases of civil engineering projects, including planning, design, permitting, bidding, and construction administration
  • Supports the technical delivery of site civil engineering and land development projects
  • Assists in developing project scopes, budgets, schedules, and work plans in coordination with leadership and clients
  • Tracks and supports management of project performance, including deliverables and timelines
  • Participate in construction administration activities such as site visits and progress tracking
  • Collaborates closely with clients, engineers, consultants, internal teams, and external stakeholders to ensure design and construction requirements are met
  • Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, design standards, and codes
  • Prepares or oversees the preparation of engineering reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates
  • Assists in monitoring project schedules and help ensure timely completion of technical deliverables
  • Providesleadership and technical guidance and support to junior staff
  • Mentor junior project managers
  • Assist in helping resolve complex delivery challenges
  • Assist with leading projects with heightened coordination and risk
  • Supports planning and supervision of design and construction activities on advanced projects
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a closely related field from an ABET-accredited program
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the State of Oklahoma or Texas or 8 years of experience in lieu of license
  • Minimum of 8-15 years of progressively responsible experience in civil engineering or land development projects.
  • Proven experience managing engineering projects and leading technical design for grading, drainage, paving, utilities, storm water management, and site infrastructure
  • Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of applicable local, state, and federal regulations, design standards, and permitting processes
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles related to design, permitting, and construction administration
  • Demonstrates ability to lead teams and coordinate across disciplines
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as needed
