What you will be doing:
- Managing civil litigation matters through every phase from filing to trial
- Drafting pleadings, motions, briefs and discovery requests
- Taking and defending depositions including witness and expert preparation
- Handling court appearances, hearings and case management conferences
- Developing litigation strategy and managing motion practice
- Preparing cases for mediation, arbitration and trial
What you need to bring:
- JD from an ABA accredited law school
- Active Florida Bar membership in good standing
- Three to four years of civil litigation experience at a law firm
- Experience in both Florida state and federal courts
- Strong motion practice, discovery and deposition experience
- Trial preparation experience is required
- Judicial clerkship or actual trial experience is a strong plus
