Full Job Description
Civil Engineering Project Manager or Senior Project Manager to lead land development projects, mentor staff, and play a key role in the continued growth of our Fredericksburg office. This is a leadership opportunity for someone who wants meaningful project ownership, direct impact on firm growth, and the ability to work closely with decision-makers in a collaborative environment.

Location: Fredericksburg, VA | Hybrid - 2-3 days in office

What You'll Do
Lead Complex Land Development Projects

Manage a variety of land development projects across residential, commercial, mixed-use, and public sectors from initial proposal through construction support and project closeout. You'll oversee project scope, schedules, permitting coordination, and overall delivery while ensuring high-quality outcomes for clients and stakeholders.

Provide Technical Leadership

Guide the design and review of site development plans including grading, stormwater management, utilities, and erosion & sediment control using Civil 3D. Serve as a technical resource for the team while helping solve complex engineering and permitting challenges throughout Virginia jurisdictions.

Mentor and Develop Staff

Support and mentor junior engineers and project team members through project coordination, technical guidance, and day-to-day leadership. Help foster a collaborative, accountable, and growth-oriented team environment.

Build Strong Client Relationships

Serve as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for clients, agencies, and project stakeholders. Participate in client meetings, public hearings, and business development efforts while helping strengthen and grow long-term partnerships.

Drive Successful Project Performance

Manage project budgets, schedules, invoicing, and overall financial performance to help ensure projects remain on track and aligned with client expectations.

What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
