Responsibilities

Join the KPFF Lacey team as a motivated and skilled civil engineering Project Manager with at least 4 years of experience who demonstrates initiative and accountability to successfully coordinate and complete projects. As a key member of our team, you'll not only refine your existing expertise but also deliver unparalleled client service.

Our Project Managers are an essential part of our design teams. The ideal candidate will exhibit strong leadership, time management, and communication skills to develop and execute projects. This position provides opportunities to work on a variety of projects for both public agencies and private developers which include:
  • Commercial Site Development
  • Parks and Recreation Facilities
  • Multi-family / Residential Development
  • Water Systems
  • Sewer Lift Stations
  • Roadway Infrastructure
  • Municipal Institutions

Project Managers are accountable for project coordination and ensuring projects are completed effectively and meet client expectations. General project tasks that our project managers perform are as follows:
  • Management and/or design of projects
  • Primary interface with clients on project coordination and design
  • Supervise and direct design engineers and drafters
  • Responsible to technical content and quality control
  • Establish project fees and schedules
  • Track project budget and timing to ensure fulfillment of contract commitments and profitability
  • Provide construction administration support
  • Communicate with design consultants, municipalities, contractors, and clients
  • Attend site visits

Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time while working on a computer, reviewing plans, or attending meetings.
  • Occasionally, it may be required to lift objects weighing up to 15 lbs.
  • Occasionally visiting project locations and performing field inspections which may involve walking, standing, kneeling, or navigating uneven terrain.


Qualifications
  • B.S. Degree or higher.
  • Must have at least 4 years of experience in Civil Engineering Project Management
  • P.E. License in Washington State.
  • AutoCAD and Civil 3D knowledge.
  • Knowledge of codes, regulations, and standards applicable to the design and construction of major site development projects in Washington State.
  • Permitting experience with various municipalities.
  • Ability to manage multiple active projects concurrently.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and collaborative skills are essential.

Additional Information

Compensation
The base salary for this role is competitive, with a range of $100,000 - $140,000 determined by experience, education, and skills. KPFF also offers performance-based bonuses to recognize outstanding contributions. Additional details about the full compensation package will be provided during the interview process.
