Overview

Kimley-Horn is looking for a Civil Analyst to join our San Diego, California (CA) Development Services team in 2026. This is not a remote position.

Responsibilities

  • Support the planning, permitting, and execution of Development Services projects for a variety of national and local clients.
  • Coordinate with clients, municipalities, utility providers, and regulatory agencies to facilitate project approvals and keep projects moving forward.
  • Manage multiple project tasks throughout the development lifecycle, including due diligence, entitlement, permitting, and agency coordination.
  • Research federal, state, and local requirements and assist in navigating jurisdictional review and approval processes.
  • Utilize technical software and project management tools to analyze information, prepare deliverables, and maintain quality control standards.
  • Collaborate with engineers, planners, project managers, and other disciplines to solve complex development challenges and deliver successful project outcomes.
  • Prepare and review due diligence reports, permit applications, and other project-related documentation.
  • Develop familiarity with Kimley-Horn's practices, procedures, and standards, as well as client and regulatory requirements.

 

Qualifications
  • A degree (Bachelors or Masters) by Summer 2026 in one of the following majors:
    • Civil and/or Environmental Engineering
    • Engineering Technology
    • Other related field

Salary Range: $83,000 - $95,500
