The OpportunityWe are looking for a Civil Engineer with five or more years of experience. The ideal candidate is a dependable, well-organized, and versatile individual who has experience in civil engineering design and strong project management skills. They are organized, have solid communication skills, can work independently with minimal supervision, are team-oriented, personable, and possess a strong desire to make a positive contribution to the business. Candidates must possess a valid Professional Engineer (PE) license in Civil Engineering.
This is an onsite position based in our San Diego office.
Responsibilities:- Design civil and water/wastewater projects for municipal clients
- Assist in the preparation of proposals and fee estimates
- Develop work plans and schedules
- Assist in the management of projects to ensure they are on schedule, within budget and meet the requirements of our clients
- Perform studies, calculations, designs, and preparation of plans and reports in accordance with project requirements and engineering standards
- Build and maintain positive client relationships
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned
Required Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; Master's degree preferred
- Professional Engineering (PE) license in Civil Engineering required
- Minimum of five years of practical work experience
- Experience with civil engineering as the engineer of record or principal in charge on projects submitted to public agencies
- Write, review, and critique proposals, plans, designs, or fee estimates related to civil disciplines
- Provide technical direction or supervision to engineering professionals, engineering, or computer-aided design (CAD) technicians, or other professional and technical personnel
- Assist in the management of projects to ensure they are on schedule, within budget and meet the requirements of our clients
- Excellent customer service skills including an ability to interact professionally and knowledgeably with clients
- Solid experience with the MS Office Suite

$100,000 to
