Qualifications

• Professional Engineering (P.E.) License (or ability to obtain within 12 months)

• Strong understanding of civil engineering, roadway design, and traffic engineering principles
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills in complex engineering contexts
• Excellent communication skills for presenting technical information

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the design team on detailed roadway designs, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards
• Assist in developing project plans, feasibility studies, and cost estimates for roadway projects
• Select materials and prepare engineering specifications for construction and maintenance
• Create geometric designs for roads and facilities with a focus on safety and accessibility
• Obtain necessary permits and ensure adherence to regulations for roadway projects
• Provide technical support during construction, addressing design issues and monitoring progress
• Conduct inspections and quality control checks to uphold design standards
• Integrate environmental considerations into designs, addressing stormwater management and impact assessments
