Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Chrysler Certified Technician at C. Harper CDJR, you will:
- Perform Precise Repairs: Execute work specified on repair orders with exceptional accuracy and efficiency, adhering to dealership standards.
- Expert Diagnostics: Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and specialized equipment to conduct thorough diagnostic procedures.
- Ensure Optimal Performance: Test-drive vehicles to confirm repairs and identify any additional issues, ensuring the highest standards of safety and performance.
- Comprehensive System Repairs: Diagnose, maintain, and repair a broad spectrum of automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, and fuel systems.
- Handle Complex Repairs: Tackle complex repairs, especially those involving intricate electrical and mechanical systems, with confidence and expertise.
- Customer Communication: Work closely with the Service Advisor to keep customers informed about their vehicle's status, providing accurate time estimates for additional repairs.
- Warranty Repairs: Execute warranty repairs following manufacturer specifications, ensuring compliance and quality.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians, fostering a culture of learning and excellence.
- Safety & Cleanliness: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Continuous Learning: Stay abreast of the latest automotive technology and repair techniques, committing to ongoing education and training.
- Detailed Documentation: Accurately document all repairs and maintenance performed, ensuring records are comprehensive and up-to-date.
QualificationsTo excel in this role, you should have:
- Extensive Experience: A minimum of 5 years as a Service Technician, with a proven track record of excellence.
- Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Certification: ASE Certification is mandatory; Master Technician Certification is preferred.
- Advanced Skills: Expertise in diagnostic, electrical, and engine repair, with a strong aptitude for problem-solving.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in using advanced diagnostic equipment and tools, with the ability to perform complex troubleshooting and repairs.
- Communication: Superior customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both customers and team members.
- Team Player: Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Tech Savvy: Basic computer skills and familiarity with dealership software.
- Commitment to Learning: A willingness to continue education and training to stay current with industry advancements.
- Clean Driving Record: A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is essential.
Preferred Qualifications- OEM Experience: Previous experience working with CDJR (Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram) vehicles.

- Hybrid & EV Expertise: Experience with hybrid and electric vehicle systems.
