What You Will DoThis is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Physician to a join team supported by a strong referral base and the full resources of a robust health system network.
- Collaborate with a dedicated, multidisciplinary team supported by 24/7 nursing, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, and Education Specialists
- Enjoy a balanced inpatient schedule with a 7-on/7-off rotation (7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.)
- Provide care on a 17-bed inpatient behavioral health unit serving adolescents (ages 5-18), with an average daily census of 11 patients and typical length of stay of 5-7 days, focused on acute crisis stabilization for conditions including suicidal/homicidal ideation, psychosis, and other safety concerns
- Serving a surrounding population of 230,000
- Employed position within a nonprofit health system
- Board Certified or Board Eligible
- Eligible for state medical license and DEA registration
- Evaluate and treat patients using appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic skills while ensuring accurate, timely documentation that meets payer requirements and supports appeals for denied services.
- Accept and manage inpatient referrals, serving as admitting, attending, and/or consulting physician as needed, while actively contributing to initiatives that enhance quality of care and cost-effectiveness.

What You Will NeedLicensure / Certification / Registration:
- One or more of the following required:
- Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Wisconsin Medical Examining Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Education:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
