This job location is not currently located in a Health Professional Shortage Areas (HPSAs) and/or Medically Underserved Areas/Populations (MUA/PO) Shortage Designation Type.

What You Will Do

This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Physician to a join team supported by a strong referral base and the full resources of a robust health system network.
  • Collaborate with a dedicated, multidisciplinary team supported by 24/7 nursing, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, and Education Specialists
  • Enjoy a balanced inpatient schedule with a 7-on/7-off rotation (7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.)
  • Provide care on a 17-bed inpatient behavioral health unit serving adolescents (ages 5-18), with an average daily census of 11 patients and typical length of stay of 5-7 days, focused on acute crisis stabilization for conditions including suicidal/homicidal ideation, psychosis, and other safety concerns
  • Serving a surrounding population of 230,000
  • Employed position within a nonprofit health system
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible
  • Eligible for state medical license and DEA registration
  • Evaluate and treat patients using appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic skills while ensuring accurate, timely documentation that meets payer requirements and supports appeals for denied services.
  • Accept and manage inpatient referrals, serving as admitting, attending, and/or consulting physician as needed, while actively contributing to initiatives that enhance quality of care and cost-effectiveness.
  • Located in Wisconsin's Fox Cities (Neenah, Menasha, Appleton, Oshkosh)-a vibrant, family-friendly region with low cost of living, excellent schools, growing performing arts with touring Broadway shows and dining scene, and easy access to Milwaukee, Madison, Green Bay, and Chicago, plus abundant outdoor recreation with nearby lakes, trails, and year-round activities

What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:
  • One or more of the following required:
    • Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
    • Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Wisconsin Medical Examining Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
