Responsibilities

This position manages the daily operations of the 24 x 7 Security Command Center (SCC), the Vulnerability Mitigation & New Technology Unit and the Video Retrieval Unit. It is responsible for overseeing the implementation of physical security applications and electronic security systems to enhance security at subway stations, tunnels, train yards, bus depots and other transit facilities. It is also responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the 24X7 SCC; ensure all 85 posts are appropriately covered and all security systems, cameras, intrusion detection alarms and databases comprising the analyst dashboards. It is also responsible for analyzing security intelligence data identifying trends and patterns and developing strategic risk management plans and policies to mitigate vulnerabilities and improve overall security in collaboration with MTA Security.

Education and Experience

A bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience from an accredited college with a major in Public Administration, Finance, System Analyst, System Analysis or a related field and ten (10) years or 5 years managerial /supervisory experience.
