Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Chief Philanthropy Officer, you will serve on the executive Senior Leadership Group (SLG) and oversee the affiliated fundraising foundations in various States, including direct supervision of the newly formed system-wide Health Foundation.Every day, you will carry broad responsibilities for providing strategic vision, policy development, leadership, and direction to ensure philanthropic support of programs, services, and the philanthropic activities of member hospitals. You will actively engage senior leadership, foundation executives and staff, board members, and other key stakeholders in the fundraising process, signaling a significant change in the importance and utility of philanthropy and private support.To be successful in this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing policy and programs that will produce increasing levels of support across our network of hospitals and foundations

  • Leads the development of a comprehensive, annual fundraising plan which responds to the defined needs of the foundations and supported organizations.
  • Manages and oversees professional fundraising and support staff, and is the Foundation lead with Board and community leaders in growing financial and public relations support for the associated supported organization(s)
  • Directs and oversees the receipt of charitable gifts, their financial stewardship, and their ultimate distribution to the hospital and related entities, to ensure continuous support of the foundation and supported organization(s) mission.
  • Acts as the senior major gifts and planned giving officer, actively managing a portfolio of prospects and donors, meeting regularly with donors and prospects to create and foster relationships.
Job Requirements

Required

  • A Master's degree in a related field upon hire, or a combination of education and/or additional job-related experience, may be substituted in lieu of the degree.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of not-for-profit fundraising and development experience and
  • Minimum of five (5) years of management experience.
  • Fire Safety, within 90 Days
