We are seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead our organization's operational excellence and business performance. The Chief Operating Officer is responsible for guiding the company's workflow strategy and organization of all essential business processes. Their duties include reviewing the efficiency of current business functions, planning changes and updates to day-to-day operations and collaborating with other executive staff to set and meet business objectives.

Position Responsibilities

• Provide management to staff and leadership to the organization that aligns with the company's business plan and overall strategic vision.
• Assist executive team members in creating, growing and building a world class, industry leading organization.
• Drive company results from both an operational and financial perspective working closely with the CFO, CEO and other key executive team members.
• Partner with the CFO to achieve favorable financial results with respect to sales, profitability, cash flow, mergers and acquisitions, systems, reporting and controls.
• Set challenging and realistic goals for growth, performance and profitability.
• Create effective measurement tools to gauge the efficiency and effectiveness of internal and external processes.
• Provide accurate and timely reports outlining the operational condition of the company.
• Spearhead the development, communication and implementation of effective growth strategies and processes.
• Works with other c-level executives on budgeting, forecasting and resource allocation programs.
• Work closely with senior management team to create, implement and roll out plans for operational processes, internal infrastructures, reporting systems and company policies all designed to foster growth, profitably and efficiencies within the company.
• Motivate and encourage employees at all levels as one of the key leaders in the company including but not limited to professional staff, management level employees and executive leadership team members.
• Forge strategic partnerships and relationships with clients, vendors, banks, investors and all other professional business relationships.
• Work with the CEO and CFO in the capital raise process, participate in the company's road shows. Meet, interact and present information effectively to potential investors and private equity firms.
• Foster a growth oriented, positive and encouraging environment while keeping employees and management accountable to company policies, procedures and guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Qualifications

• MBA in business or related field required
• 5-10 years of executive level operational experience required.
• Exceptional executive presence, business acumen and presentation skills.
• Budgeting and/or financial focused mindset helpful.
• Strong communication and presentation skills to inform and influence partners and decision-makers across multiple levels
• Agility and flexibility to work in ambiguity and uncertainty
• Ability to recognize key market trends and mitigate potential risks through proactive recommendations and thought leadership
• Curiosity to learn, courage and creativity to challenge status quo, and organizational savvy to drive strategic results
• Keen attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Proficiency in MS Office 365 - Word; Excel; Power Point; experience with Teams, One Note, Planner and SharePoint a plus
• Adept with technology and learning new systems
• Ability to travel up to 10-15% of the time (post COVID)

Compensation & Bonus
• Base Salary: $185,000 - $240,000 (commensurate with experience)
• Full benefits package including healthcare, retirement, and PTO
• Travel: Up to 30%

Physical demands:

There may be prolonged periods of sitting, keyboarding, reading, as well as driving or riding in transport vehicles. Specific vision abilities required by this job include reading, distance, computer, and color vision. Talking and hearing are essential to communicate with clients, vendors and staff. Overnight travel may be required from time to time.

Mental demands:

There are a number of deadlines associated with this position. The employee must be able to handle frequent interruptions and must also multi-task and interact with a wide variety of people on various and, at times, complicated issues.

Background Investigation:

This position may be subject to a 101-630 background check in an effort to ensure compliance with public law 101-630 "Indian child protection and family violence prevention act." Candidates for positions that require a 101-630 background check must be able to successfully pass a background and character investigation in compliance with pl 101-630.
