Overview

Position Summary

 

MCDC is seeking an experienced Chief Operating Officer to lead the strategic direction and oversight of clinical operations, systems, patient communications, and scheduling across our 28-center network. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and working closely with the Chief Dental Officer, the COO will be the driving force behind operational excellence, patient satisfaction, and sustainable organizational growth.

This is a highly visible executive role for a strategic, hands-on leader who thrives on building high-performing teams, driving continuous improvement, and creating a patient-centered culture of accountability and excellence.

Responsibilities

Typical Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Partner with the executive team to advance MCDC's mission of enhancing community health by expanding access to quality dental care for all.
  • Set the strategic direction and oversight of clinical management, systems, patient communications, and scheduling across all centers.
  • Develop and execute operational strategies that drive company goals, growth objectives, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Clinical Operations, Finance, Marketing, HR, and IT to ensure seamless integration of new systems and initiatives.
  • Lead initiatives that enhance the patient experience, streamline operations, and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing clinical management team, including regional and office managers.
  • Own practice-level budget targets, partnering with Finance to monitor performance, achieve P&L and cash flow goals, and identify growth opportunities.
  • Build and develop high-performing regional teams and champion a culture of accountability, integrity, and service excellence.
  • Support MCDC's risk management, compliance, and patient retention and growth initiatives.
  • Participate in executive strategic planning at the corporate level.
