Position Summary The
Chief Operating Officer (COO) is responsible for implementing and overseeing Panorama Global's day-to-day business operations. Partnering with the CEO to translate strategy into operational execution, the COO oversees the organization's custom program support and development, allowing the CEO to focus externally. The COO also works closely with the Chief Impact Officer and the Chief Financial Officer and is accountable for operational capability, performance quality, and the systems needed to build for scale.
This role is based out of our Seattle, WA office on a hybrid schedule. Employees are expected to work on-site a minimum of 3 days per week, with the flexibility to work remotely for the remaining days.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with Panorama Global's vision and business objectives.
- Oversee strategy for managing growth, change, and organizational development.
- Oversee the annual strategic planning process.
- Champion data-driven decision-making and track performance metrics across business systems and functions.
- Provide recommendations on organizational operational structure to ensure excellence as the organization continues to grow.
Operations Management and Innovation
- Lead daily operations of a complex, service-oriented organization.
- Focus on people-centered process improvement, alleviating pain points, managing resources, and creating opportunities for efficiency and enhanced productivity as the organization grows.
- Evaluate new business and revenue opportunities and support go/no-go strategy, models, and analysis.
- Support key functional areas of grantmaking and fiscal sponsorship, ensuring grant and contract operations run smoothly and compliance requirements are met.
- Provide timely input for the co-design and development of initiatives and proposals.
Technology Infrastructure
- Ensure IT systems, platforms, and organization-wide technology align with organizational needs.
- Assess, oversee, and supplement Panorama Global's IT resources and data security in partnership with its IT service provider.
- Implement tools for data tracking and business process improvement.

Desired Qualifications and Skills - Significant senior-level operations leadership experience, ideally within a multifaceted nonprofit, fiscal sponsorship, or service-oriented organization.
- Demonstrated experience navigating rapid organizational growth and evaluating new and emerging business opportunities.
- Experience overseeing grantmaking and/or fiscal sponsorship operations, including grant and contract compliance.
- Experience overseeing IT systems, data security, and business process improvement, including working with outsourced IT service providers.
- Proven ability to lead and develop teams across multiple functions, including direct management of senior staff.
- Experience leading or contributing to organization-wide strategic planning processes.
- Strong track record of building trust and collaborative, cross-departmental relationships.
- Comfortable operating with ambiguity and balancing strategic growth initiatives against daily operational demands.
- Skilled in data-driven decision-making and performance metric tracking.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to represent the organization at the executive leadership level.
Direct Reports The current team size is 16 people, with two direct reports:
- Vice President
- Associate Director, Grants and Contracts
Working conditions This position operates primarily in a standard office environment (with a 2-day-per-week hybrid option) and involves regular use of computers, video conferencing, and standard office equipment. The role may require occasional evening or weekend availability to accommodate board meetings, organizational deadlines, or time-sensitive operational needs. Travel, including occasional overnight and multi-day travel, may be required to support organizational operations, partner engagement, or board functions.

Compensation & Benefits The starting salary for this role is between $240,000 and $260,000. Eligible for executive incentive program, with an annual performance-based bonus opportunity in addition to base salary.
