The Opportunity:
The Chief Operating Officer ("COO") will be an important member of the Senior Executive Team and will have a seat at the leadership table.
C3Wellbeing's Board seeks an experienced professional leader who brings a full set of executive abilities to the position as this senior level professional will be involved in major strategic and operational decisions affecting the organization.
C3Wellbeing is a highly visible organization in the community. This role requires a leader who is collaborative, a visionary, and genuinely passionate about making a difference in the lives of people in need.
This professional will have a significant impact on the organization's budget and diverse funding streams, including Federal, State, and Local grants.
The COO will serve as a team player who will interface with clinicians, staff, and stakeholders, as well as with partners of the organization.

Key Priorities:
Ensure that C3Wellbeing continues to find innovative approaches and funding sources for new programs that support the mission and complies with Federal and State rules and regulations.
Provide significant assistance, oversight, and guidance to the agency's budgeting and financial management efforts for both divisions.
Participate in Union contract negotiations. C3Wellbeing's school-based counselors are members of RIFT, Healthcare division, with an exceptionally cooperative and collaborative labor management history.
Manage and enhance the finance systems, policies, reporting systems, and the relationship with the external business partners (e.g., auditors, vendors, etc.).
Along with the CEO, evaluate, motivate, and manage approximately 80 top performing professionals. The COO will lead a team of 6 direct reports, 12 EAP Division managers; consultant Clinicians; administrative support staff and support the CEO with managing 68 Student Assistance Division team members.
Key Responsibilities:
Work collaboratively with the Board and Leadership team to achieve goals and objectives set forth in the strategic plan, to include ongoing updates and assessments.
Collaborate with all departments to optimize the operations necessary to provide first class services to clients.
Oversee budgeting, financial management, and financial reporting for the organization, that has a multi-million-dollar budget and diverse funding streams, including Federal, State, and Local grants.
Effectively work with a 9 to 15 member governing Board of Directors, representing a cross section of the community.
Assist C3Wellbeing Management in ensuring that quarterly financial, statistical, and programmatic reports required by funders are submitted accurately and in a timely fashion.
Work with the Senior Executive Team to improve cost efficiencies at every level of the organization.
Partner with Board Governance Committee to identify and solidify new members and leadership.
Ensure the timely completion of the organization audit and that the organization is following all State and Federal regulations and filings.
Negotiate and execute contracts with consultants and vendors on behalf of C3Wellbeing.
Prepare and successfully negotiate yearly contracts for 32 school districts.
Enhance communications with all levels of employees. Encourage them to pro-actively communicate issues that will initiate problem solving and creativity.
Manage the medical records electronic system with the outside IT consultant to ensure HIPAA compliance.
Help to build a dynamic organization with skilled and competent clinicians.
Ensure that all policies, protocols, and agreements of the organization are reviewed, updated, and implemented to include annual employee assessments, work plans, and the inclusion of compensatory adjustments as an annual consideration.
Prioritize staff development and growth to include the necessary resources to support a dynamic, evolving, and competent team.
Assist with grant writing to ensure the requisite level of new and historical funding.
Assist with the development of a wide array of communications to support C3Wellbeing's variety of student and employee assistance offerings.
Serve as an external face of the organization by participating in industry panels and other speaking engagements.

Job Qualifications:

Significant experience with Board relations and assisting with the development of strategic plans is preferred.
Solid public relations, community, and media relations skills.
Strong personal and public speaking skills is required to make formal and persuasive presentations.
Excellent writing skills and detail orientation. Prior grant writing experience is preferred, but not required.
Experience with professional labor organizations is an asset.
