Full Job Description
Chief Operating Officer -- Max Roofing Phoenix Valley, AZ $100K-$120K + Performance Bonus

Max Roofing serves the entire Phoenix metro; custom homes, repairs, and full replacements, with a deep base of repeat and referral clients.

We9re hiring a COO to run the operating machine so our founder can focus on growing it.

The Role

You own six areas: AI agent oversight, sales operations, production and fulfillment, financial performance, marketing and lead flow, and people. You report directly to the owner with real decision-making authority. A field superintendent, project coordinator, and controller report to you, as do four AI agents running 24/7.

Your mandate: sustain and grow the current run rate while protecting the margins that got us here, and build out the retail sales process.

First 90 Days

Days 1-30: Learn the full pipeline, audit every AI agent, and deliver a written 90-day priority plan.

Days 31-60: Close the open infrastructure items, stand up funnel reporting, take ownership of Meta ad performance.

Day 90: You own all six areas.

Requirements

Who You Are
  • You9ve run operations in a lean business; not a department inside a big company, but the actual machine of a small one
  • You9ve managed a team and made hard calls when someone wasn9t performing
  • You9ve owned or rebuilt a sales process
  • You can read a P&L and protect a margin without being the bookkeeper
  • You9re comfortable with technology and think in systems
  • You work well with a fast-moving, direct founder; you bring decisions, not menus, escalate sparingly, and figure things out before asking

Work Model

This is a remote role, we don9t run a central office, but you must live in the Phoenix Valle and be available in person for job sites and to meet with the team. Local presence is required and non-negotiable.

Benefits

Compensation

$100,000 to $120,000 base, W-2, plus a performance bonus tied to gross margin, revenue growth, and conversion metrics.

This is not a corporate job. It9s a lean, high-autonomy operator role with a direct line to the owner and a business that9s already working.

If that sounds like exactly what you9ve been looking for, apply here.
