SALARYSCALE : $97,200 to $113,213 annually
What would my role be?Reporting to the Manager, Facilities, Bruyère Health Centretown Site, you will be responsible for the supervision of the Operating and Maintenance Engineers and efficient operation of the Central Heating & Power Plant by operating and maintaining steam distribution, heating and ventilation systems supplying hospital buildings. You will also be responsible for the Building Automation System (BAS), its functionality, monitoring and controls, producing performance reporting on environmental condition, efficiencies, energy consumption and utilization. You hold a secondary responsibility of Fire Safety Officer to assist in the management of an effective fire prevention program.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Scheduling shifts of operators and boiler operation
- Coordinating programs for new requirements and major maintenance projects
- Ensuring that safety regulations and policies are met, and an efficient operation is maintained
- Ensuring, through audits and checks, that workmanship meets standards and that all safety regulations, policies and procedures are complied with
How do I qualify?Required:
- Three (3) year Community College Diploma in a related discipline
- Minimum of three (3) years' experience as an Operating Engineer in a 3rd class rated plant
- Valid certificate, 2nd Class Ontario Operating Engineer (Stationary Engineer)
Preferred:
- Fluent in French and English
What skills should Ipossessto succeed in the role?- Technical knowledge of building and plant operation and building automation
- Intermediate computer skills
- Basic knowledge of Medical Terminology
