About the RoleA seed-stage AI SaaS startup operating in the energy and high-hazard industrial sector is looking for a
Chief of Staff, Operations to serve as the operational backbone of the company. Working directly alongside the CEO, you will help drive the company's most critical priorities - spanning day-to-day operations, go-to-market execution, product planning, customer success, and fundraising. This role is built for someone who thrives in organized chaos and knows how to build just-enough process to maintain momentum without creating bureaucracy.
What You'll Do- Mirror the CEO's activities to align strategic and operational priorities across the company.
- Own end-to-end project delivery timelines for enterprise contracts, ensuring commitments are met.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships as a key operational point of contact.
- Design and implement systems to track decisions, set priorities, and streamline cross-functional workflows.
- Support the creation of materials for investor updates and active fundraising activities.
- Manage day-to-day operational needs including admin, travel coordination, conference logistics, and meeting agendas.
What We're Looking ForRequired:- Proven ability to design and implement scalable operational processes in early-stage or high-growth startup environments.
- Strong cross-functional leadership and stakeholder management across product, sales, marketing, customer success, and finance.
- Background in management consulting (MBB) or investment banking strongly preferred.
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills with the ability to align teams and priorities in close partnership with a CEO.
- Familiarity with project management, CRM, and collaboration tools to support operational systems.
- Must be available and willing to work on-site in San Francisco, 6 days per week - this is a firm requirement.
- Degree in business, operations, strategy, or a related field preferred.
Nice to Have:- Experience in the energy sector or B2B SaaS industry.
- Prior experience partnering with a CEO on go-to-market strategy, product planning, customer success, or fundraising.
Compensation & Benefits- Salary: $100,000 - $150,000 annually
