Full Job Description
Chief of Staff MSM North America is hiring a Chief of Staff to support CSG Defense North America as we build and grow our presence in the U.S. defense market. This is a senior, highly visible role for someone who can move seamlessly between strategy and execution. As a trusted advisor and delegate to the President, you will help turn strategic priorities into action, bring structure to complex initiatives, and connect the people and activities required to move the business forward. You will work across our U.S. operating businesses and European organization, as well as with government, industry, advisors, and prospective partners. The scope is intentionally broad and will evolve as the North American business grows. What You'll Do • Drive the President's priorities. Translate strategic direction into clear plans, decisions, milestones, and accountability while keeping critical initiatives moving. • Support senior external engagement. Prepare the President for engagements with Congress, the Department of Defense, Pentagon stakeholders, think tanks, U.S. prime contractors, industry partners, and other key stakeholders-and represent the President when appropriate. • Build the operating model. Establish the governance, management cadence, reporting, and business processes needed to effectively run and scale CSG Defense North America. • Lead strategic initiatives. Take ownership of high-priority work that crosses traditional functional boundaries, including business development, capture, market positioning, strategic partnerships, M&A and integration, and organizational buildout. • Connect the organization. Coordinate priorities across U.S. and European leaders, operating companies, advisors, and partners while identifying issues early and driving them to resolution. What You'll Bring • 10+ years of experience in strategy, business operations, program leadership, management consulting, corporate development, or a related field. • Experience working closely with senior executives and leading complex initiatives across multiple functions and stakeholders. • Strong strategic judgment with the ability to turn ambiguity into structure, recommendations, and action. • Exceptional executive communication, analytical, presentation, and project leadership skills. • The ability to influence senior stakeholders, operate with significant autonomy, and handle highly sensitive business information with discretion. Experience in aerospace, defense, government contracting, advanced manufacturing, or another regulated industry is strongly preferred. Familiarity with the U.S. defense ecosystem, business development and capture, government affairs, M&A, or working across U.S. and European organizations would be particularly valuable. What Success Looks Like You will extend the capacity of the President and become a central point of coordination for CSG Defense North America. You will create clarity where there is ambiguity, ensure priorities translate into action, and help put in place the organization, operating discipline, relationships, and capabilities needed to scale the business. This role is well suited to an experienced leader who enjoys building, operates comfortably without a detailed playbook, and wants meaningful exposure to the strategic and operational decisions involved in growing a defense business in North America. Benefits & Culture We believe a strong workplace is built on more than benefits. We are committed to fostering a professional, collaborative, and respectful environment where employees are valued, supported, and empowered to succeed. We complement our workplace culture with a comprehensive benefits package designed to support the health, financial well-being, and work-life balance of our employees. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage; company-paid short-term disability, long-term disability, and life insurance; and the option to purchase additional voluntary life insurance. To support long-term financial well-being, we offer a 401(k) plan with company match.
