Job Summary

The Chief of Staff serves as a trusted operational partner to the Chief Marketing Officer, driving coordination, execution, and accountability across six Marketing organizations. This role manages the CMO's operating rhythm, ensures priorities translate into action, and strengthens alignment across Marketing and key enterprise partners.

The ideal candidate has significant experience working across Marketing in a Chief of Staff, Marketing Operations, or Business Operations role. They are highly operational, comfortable navigating a complex global organization, and able to provide direct feedback and trusted counsel to senior leadership.

Responsibilities

Marketing Operations and Execution
  • Drive coordination and execution across six Marketing organizations
  • Translate CMO and Marketing Leadership Team priorities into clear plans, ownership, milestones, and follow-up actions
  • Manage the Marketing leadership operating rhythm, including staff meetings, business reviews, offsites, extended leadership meetings, and all-hands meetings
  • Develop agendas, presentations, briefing materials, decision documents, and executive updates
  • Track priorities, decisions, risks, dependencies, and commitments through completion
  • Identify operational barriers and bring together the right stakeholders to resolve them
  • Partner with Corporate Marketing and Operations to improve planning, governance, reporting, and execution processes
  • Support Marketing budget planning, financial reporting, and follow-up activities in partnership with Finance and Marketing Operations


Executive Partnership
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and operational partner to the CMO
  • Provide direct, thoughtful feedback and raise risks, concerns, or competing perspectives when needed
  • Anticipate the CMO's needs and provide concise recommendations to support decision-making
  • Represent the CMO's priorities and perspective with internal stakeholders when appropriate
  • Handle confidential and sensitive matters with sound judgment and discretion


Cross-Functional Alignment
  • Build strong relationships with Chiefs of Staff and operational leaders across the Customer and Revenue Organization, Product, Sales, Customer Care, Revenue Operations, and other enterprise functions
  • Serve as a key connection point between Marketing and partner organizations
  • Drive clarity, alignment, and accountability across shared initiatives
  • Ensure relevant stakeholders understand Marketing priorities, decisions, progress, and dependencies


Culture and Organizational Health
  • Serve as a culture ambassador across the Marketing organization
  • Monitor employee sentiment, organizational health, and team morale
  • Bring forward candid observations and recommendations to the CMO and Marketing Leadership Team
  • Partner with HR and Talent on employee listening, leadership development, organizational health, and engagement initiatives
  • Plan leadership offsites and organizational forums that strengthen connection and collaboration


Executive Travel and Meeting Support
  • Travel regularly with the CMO to regional meetings and key leadership engagements
  • Coordinate meeting preparation and on-site support as needed
  • Capture key decisions, insights, and action items
  • Provide timely debriefs and drive follow-up after meetings


Qualifications
  • Significant experience in a Chief of Staff, Marketing Operations, Business Operations, or similar role supporting a complex Marketing organization
  • Demonstrated experience working across multiple Marketing functions and coordinating priorities among senior Marketing leaders
  • Strong operational leadership and program management skills, with the ability to translate priorities into clear plans, actions, and measurable follow-through
  • Experience managing executive operating rhythms, leadership meetings, business reviews, offsites, and cross-functional planning forums
  • Strong executive communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, including the confidence to provide direct, constructive feedback to senior leaders
  • Strong judgment, discretion, and ability to manage confidential information
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, global, and highly matrixed environment
  • Ability to work in close proximity to the CMO and travel regularly


The targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:

United States - Redwood City Office GHQ : 213,000 - 319,000 USD / Annual

Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location.The pay range shown is based on our compensation structure in place at the time of posting and may be updated periodically based on business needs. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.

The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
