Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) to join our Team!
The CNO is an integral part of the Sr. Leadership Team and manages the facility's Nursing Department.The CNO develops department goals, objectives , standards of performance, policies and procedures, and organizes the department in accordance with administrative guidelines. The CNO functions in an advisory capacity to administration in evaluating proposed procedural changes as they relate to patient care. This position directs the implementation and ensures compliance with the Standard of Nursing Practice that promotes optimum health care delivery. This position will oversee the activities of infection control and staff education.

Key Responsibilities: Leadership and Management: Oversee nursing personnel, including nurse managers and staff, and provide guidance to ensure effective operations across departments
Patient Care Oversight: Establish and maintain high standards of patient care, develop policies and protocols, and monitor quality and safety outcomes
Strategic Planning: Participate in organizational strategy, develop nursing initiatives, and implement projects to improve patient care and operational efficiency
Administrative Duties: Manage budgets, allocate resources, ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and coordinate with other healthcare professionals
Staff Development: Recruit, train, and evaluate nursing staff, promote professional development, and maintain staff engagement and competency
Palo Verde Behavioral Health Hospital provides comprehensive behavioral healthcare for children, adolescents, adults, and senior adults suffering from mental health and addictive illnesses. PVBH is an 84-bed, short-term, acute care hospital offering inpatient, partial and intensive outpatient hospitalization, as well as specialized treatment programs for chemical dependency. PVBH has an excellent reputation as an innovative hospital with caring, dedicated staff , experienced in the delivery of behavioral healthcare. Situated in Tucson, AZ, at the base of the Catalina Foothills, PVBH is minutes to Saguaro National Park and the University of Arizona.
Qualifications Education:Master's Degree (or clinical supervision required )
Exerience: Must have at least 8-10 years of experience in a hospital setting (preferrably Behavioral Health)
Must have managerment/leadership experience.
License: Licensure by the Arizona Board of Registered Nursing required
Must also be able to obtain andmaintain a Level 1 Fingerprint clearance.
