Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor the Mechanical and Structural Engineering teams for surface operations
  • Manage the Process, Safety & Integrity Management (PSIM) program and represent Allan on the PSIM steering committee
  • Act as a safety leader throughout engineering design and execution phases
  • Collaborate with Operations, Capital, and Maintenance to prioritize maintenance engineering
  • Ensure adherence to governance policies, bylaws, and safety regulations
  • Drive stakeholder engagement and foster a culture of innovation and trust
  • Champion the introduction of industry best practices and technologies for engineering and operations
  • Oversee maintenance operational budgets and manage major maintenance repair projects
  • Promote continuous improvement and provide technical support for system enhancements.

Chief Mill Maintenance Engineer

What You'll Do:

  • Lead and provide mentorship for the Mechanical Engineering and Structural Engineering team for surface
  • Responsible for the Process, Safety & Integrity Management (PSIM) program for surface and act as a representative for Allan on the PSIM steering committee. Support other Corporate Engineering and Integrity initiatives
  • Safety leader in all stages of engineering design and execution with a track record in risk identification and effective mitigation
  • Support and collaborate with Operations, Capital and Maintenance on the prioritization of maintenance engineering as needs arise
  • Accountable for the adherence to governance policies including APEGS bylaws and OHS Regulations as well as other codes, standards and specifications
  • Champion stakeholder engagement and collaboration on and across sites creating a culture of trust to foster innovation
  • Promote and introduces industry best practices and technologies to the engineering and operations teams
  • Adhere to and support the development of maintenance operational expenditure budgets. Manage the major maintenance repair projects for surface
  • MOC leader and actively promote and engage in continuous improvement through changes to existing systems and providing technical support
