Full Job Description
The Chief Medical Officer (CMO) is responsible for the clinical vision of Venice Family Clinic and provides clinical oversight of all clinical programs, including those involving medical residents, students, and their faculty. He/she partners with the clinical, operations, program, and administrative staff and volunteers to identify new programs, evaluate existing programs, and determine which programs and clinical interventions best serve VFC patients. They are responsible for both the productivity of the clinical staff and the quality of care delivered by staff and volunteer medical clinicians. The Chief Medical Officer directly supervises the Associate Medical Directors, Director, Managed Care & Care Coordination and Director of Behavioral Health and the Chief Medical Information Officer. The CMO participates in clinical risk management, compliance, and patient safety. The CMO is responsible for overseeing all peer review, credentialing, and privileging activities. Clinical care accounts for 35% of the CMO's work duties, with administrative and supervisory responsibilities accounting for the other 65%. The CMO is responsible for overseeing all peer review, credentialing and privileging activities. The target salary range for this role is: $260,600- $390,000 annual.
