As a member of the IT Senior Leadership Team, the Chief Information Security Officer is a strategic leader responsible for designing, implementing, and advancing a comprehensive cybersecurity program that safeguards sensitive health information and critical systems across Seattle Children's. This role partners closely with executive leadership to align security initiatives with organizational priorities-ensuring regulatory compliance, strengthening risk management, and fostering a culture of security awareness in support of delivering exceptional care.
Required Education and Experience- Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or related field required.
- 12+ years of progressive experience in information security, cybersecurity, technology risk, or related technology leadership roles required.
- 8+ years of leadership experience building, leading, and maturing enterprise security teams and programs required.
- Experience leading cybersecurity in a highly regulated environment required; healthcare experience strongly preferred.
- Experience presenting to executive leadership and/or Boards on cyber risk, security strategy, incident response, and investment priorities required.
- Experience leading or materially supporting significant cybersecurity incident response, crisis management, or cyber resilience efforts preferred.
- Experience with cloud security, identity and access management, security operations, third-party risk, vulnerability management, and regulatory compliance required.
- Professional certifications preferred, such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, HCISPP, CCSP, or equivalent credentials.

Compensation Range$249,620.00 - $374,430.00 per year
Salary InformationThis compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity, skills, experience, and expertise, and may vary within the range provided.
