Position Description:

The Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) / Authority to Operate (ATO) Program Executive provides strategic cybersecurity leadership across all systems, data flows, and interfaces supporting enterprise medical examination operations. This executive sets the vision for security architecture, ensures adherence to federal and customer cybersecurity requirements-including NIST, FISMA, and VA 6500-and drives the full lifecycle of ATO activities. Through executive stewardship, they safeguard mission critical data, strengthen risk posture, and ensure the organization meets or exceeds federal compliance standards.

This position is located in our Fairfax or Arlington Virginia office, with an expectation of being on the client site in Washington, DC up to 3 times per week.

Your future duties and responsibilities:
• Provide executive oversight of ATO readiness, full Risk Management Framework (RMF) package development-including system categorization, control selection, implementation, assessment, authorization artifacts-and direct the enterprise continuous monitoring strategy.
• Champion enterprise cybersecurity posture across EMS platforms, customer portals, APIs, and interconnected systems.
• Lead strategic implementation of vulnerability management, incident response, risk mitigation, and audit engagement.
• Ensure organizational alignment with federal cybersecurity, privacy, and data protection requirements.
• Cultivate high level partnerships with customer ISSOs, system owners, program leadership, and federal auditors to maintain trust and transparency.
• Shape cybersecurity governance, reporting, and long range security roadmap for the enterprise.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of progressive federal cybersecurity leadership experience.
• Industry-recognized certifications: Security+ and CISSP.
• Proven success achieving and sustaining federal ATOs across complex environments.
• Prior executive or senior leadership experience supporting federal cybersecurity programs or regulated federal environments.
• Deep expertise in NIST 800 53, VA 6500, and federal security control frameworks.
Desired Qualifications
• CISM or CCSP certifications.
• Prior executive or senior leadership experience supporting federal cybersecurity programs or regulated federal environments.
• Previous experience working with the Veteran Administration highly desired.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $143,500.00 $310,700.00.
