Overview:

We are seeking a visionary and results-driven Chief Information Officer to lead our technology strategy and operations for a growing engineering firm with a geographically dispersed workforce. The CIO will be responsible for aligning IT initiatives with engineering operations, ensuring secure, scalable, and efficient systems that enable global collaboration, innovation, and productivity

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement an IT strategy that supports engineering workflows, product development, and business growth across all locations.
  • Digital Transformation: Lead the adoption of cloud-based platforms, collaboration tools, and integrated engineering software to improve efficiency and enable remote work.
  • Infrastructure & Operations: Oversee global IT infrastructure, including cloud services, and network security, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Cybersecurity & Compliance: Establish and maintain robust cybersecurity policies, data governance, and compliance frameworks to protect sensitive engineering and client data.
  • Global Team Enablement: Design and implement tools, processes, and training programs to support engineers in different time zones, ensuring seamless communication and project coordination.
  • Vendor & Partner Management: Negotiate and manage technology contracts with global vendors, ensuring cost-effective and scalable solutions.
  • Budget & ROI: Manage IT budgets, monitor expenses, and report on the return on investment of technology initiatives.
  • Change Leadership: Drive organizational change to adopt new technologies and processes, minimizing disruption to engineering operations.


Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience: 10+ years in IT leadership, preferably in engineering, manufacturing, or technology-intensive industries.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of enterprise IT systems, cloud computing, ERP, AI/ML integration, and data analytics.
  • Global Collaboration: Proven ability to lead and coordinate with distributed teams across multiple time zones.
  • Leadership: Excellent communication, decision-making, and project management skills; ability to inspire and lead high-performing IT teams.
  • Certifications: PMP, CISSP, CISM, ITIL, or similar preferred.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field; Master's degree preferred.

Compensation

Base Compensation: $175,000 - $250,000 (Actual compensation is subject to variation due to factors such as education, experience, skills and/or location)
