Full Job Description
  • Develop and implement an effective HR strategy that aligns with the agency's goals and objectives, while supporting the overall vision and mission of the organization.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute workforce planning and talent acquisition strategies to ensure the organization has the right talent in the right roles at the right time.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership regarding culture, talent and performance
  • Oversee the Talent Acquisition process to ensure the agency attracts and retains top talent
  • Oversee the development and administration of competitive compensation and benefits programs that contribute to employee engagement and retention and comply with relevant laws and regulations
  • Foster positive employee relations by promoting a culture of open communication and equitable treatment
  • Drive strategy for internal communications and collaborate with the communications team to execute change management and communication initiatives
  • Lead the development of performance management systems that drive performance, engagement, and career development for employees.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal requirements and regulations related to HR and employee relations.
  • Develop and manage HR budgets, forecasting, and reporting, ensuring efficient and effective use of Resources.
  • Ensure effective management of HR systems, technology, and data analytics to support the business needs of the organization.
  • Explore trends in Human Resources to enhance the employee experience, meet evolving organizational needs and create innovative programs.
  • Lead, coach, and mentor assigned direct reports, as well as oversee and uphold performance standards and the level of accountability within the department
  • Exhibit positivity, flexibility and a willingness to take on new responsibilities as requested or required.
  • Demonstrate positive leadership, promote an inclusive work environment and present the Agency in the most positive light with all internal and external contacts.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field. Master's Degree preferred.
  • 8+years of relevant HR experience, preferably within a nonprofit environment (including 3+ years acting as the HR functional lead for an organization or business unit)
  • Experience leading diversity, equity and inclusion and change management initiatives preferred
  • Experience providing coaching to an internal client base
