MHG Hotel Division

The MHG Hotel Division currently operates four boutiquehotel properties on PEI including the award-winning Mysa Nordic Spa in St.Peters Bay, the 5-Star Great George Hotel and The Hotel on Pownal in downtownCharlottetown, and The Loyalist Country Inn in Summerside.

Chief Hotel Officer

Reporting to the CEO, the Chief Hotel Officer (CHO) is akey member of the MHG Senior Leadership Team, responsible for overseeing theoverall performance, operations, and strategic direction of the Hotel Division.

This role provides leadership to the management teamsacross all hotel properties, driving operational excellence, financialperformance, and the consistent delivery of the world-class guest experiencesour properties are known for. The CHO will lead, coach, and mentor leadersacross the division, fostering a culture grounded in collaboration,accountability, and continuous improvement.

As Chief Hotel Officer, You Will
  • Partner with hotel property leaders todrive strong performance across all areas of operations
  • Provide clear guidance, support, anddirection to hotel teams, championing MHG's culture and core values
  • Identify and evaluate strategicopportunities for each property, including the development and implementationof programs that support company and hotel goals
  • Conduct regular property visits andguest experience analysis to ensure alignment with service excellence and brandstandards
  • Communicate property-specific goals andobjectives, ensuring alignment and accountability across management teams
  • Collaborate with hotel leaders toreview, enhance, and evolve training programs and succession plans forfront-line team members
  • Address employee relations withprofessionalism and consistency in partnership with General Managers
  • Support the ongoing professionaldevelopment of both management and front-line teams
  • Provide oversight and direction onstaffing and labour management, ensuring alignment with company policies andoperational needs
  • Review and approve annual businessplans and financial budgets for each hotel property
  • Actively contribute as a member of theSenior Leadership Team, participating in company meetings, training sessions,conferences, and annual planning activities

What You Bring
  • Bachelor'sdegree in business management, hospitality or a diploma in hospitality/tourismmanagement
  • 5+ yearsexperience in Hotel Management at the General Manager level or above
  • Demonstrated experiencemanaging boutique style properties will be considered an asset
  • Previous Sales& Marketing experience in the accommodations industry
  • Ability toanalyze financial data in order to make strategic decisions, previousaccounting or financial budgeting experience is required
  • Must have avalid drivers license and ability to travel across multiple locations (on PEI)
