Full Job Description
The Chief Growth Officer is responsible for establishing and executing an enterprise growth strategy that aligns market competitiveness, financial performance, and operational readiness. This leader ensures the organization wins business because its value proposition is compelling and credible, not because of legacy position or short term concessions.

The CGO partners closely with the CEO, CFO, and Executive Leadership Team to bring market backed insight into growth, pricing, product investment, and deal decisions, while building organizational confidence and consistency in how the company competes.

Candidates applying to this position must live within driving distance of the Omaha, Nebraska metro. This position will require 4+ days per week in the office.

Enterprise Growth Leadership
The Chief Growth Officer is accountable for setting and sustaining an enterprise‑wide growth strategy that aligns market competitiveness, financial performance, operational readiness, and long‑term brand credibility. This leader approaches growth through a portfolio lens, balancing momentum across lines of business while avoiding overconcentration or value eroding decisions. Sound judgment about where the organization should compete, and where it should not, is a core expectation of the role.
  • Set and lead an enterprise-wide growth strategy aligned with revenue, membership, margin, and brand objectives
  • Drive growth across all major lines of business with a focus on portfolio balance rather than isolated wins
  • Apply disciplined judgment to opportunity selection, including declining business that is financially or operationally misaligned
  • Translate external market dynamics into clear internal growth priorities and guidance

Strategic Market and External Engagement
The Chief Growth Officer serves as a visible and credible senior executive presence in the market, strengthening the organization’s relationships with brokers, consultants, employer customers, and community stakeholders. This role requires personal engagement with the most strategic relationships while ensuring broader market coverage is effective, consistent, and aligned with enterprise expectations.

This role is accountable for results and for ensuring sales activity reflects enterprise pricing philosophy, financial discipline, and long‑term market credibility, particularly in complex or high value situations.

  • Partner with Finance and Underwriting on deal evaluation, pricing decisions, and formal deal governance

Product, Pricing, and Go to Market Strategy
The Chief Growth Officer plays a central leadership role in shaping the company’s product portfolio, pricing philosophy, and go to market approach. This leader brings clear market and customer insight into decisions related to product investment, repositioning, and exit, ensuring offerings are competitive, executable, and economically sound.

The Chief Growth Officer is responsible for elevating the organization’s approach to account management, particularly for its most important employer relationships. This includes establishing enterprise standards for segmentation, coverage, and escalation, and ensuring senior leaders are equipped to engage customers as long term strategic partners.

To be considered for this position, you must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred in business administration or other related degree and 12+ years’ experience overseeing an operations function at a similar type company.

  • The ability to drive results, not only for operational areas but for the entire company as part of the Executive Leadership Team (ELT).

  • The ability to work well in a team environment and be capable of building and maintaining positive relationships with other staff, departments, and customers.

  • Should possess strategic thinking skills, superior problem-solving abilities, planning, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to prioritize work schedule and meet deadlines and effectively delegate responsibilities and work assignments.

  • Effective communication skills (both verbal and written).

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for this requirement.

The ability to meet or exceed the attendance and timeliness requirements of their departments.

The ability to work well in a team environment and be capable of building and maintaining positive relationships with other staff, departments, and customers.
