Position Overview
HGH is seeking its next Chief Financial Officer & VP, Facilities (CFO).
Reporting to the CEO, the CFO plans, directs and guides HGH's financial resources and related administrative functions, and is accountable for the reporting of financial and operational data, financial services operations and the management of the facilities, material procurement and distribution functions. To do so, the CFO must create strong working relationships with clinical and support services leaders while collaborating closely with the Finance and Planning Committee of the Board of Directors. The CFO ultimately provides strategic leadership in ensuring the Hospital has the financial and material resources needed to deliver on its strategic goals.
HGH is a bilingual community hospital which has more than 800 employees and 160 physicians, and serves the Prescott-Russell region in Ontario.
What we are looking for
The ideal candidate is an accomplished finance leader, preferably with a post-graduate degree in finance, business administration, or a related field; a recognized professional accounting designation; and senior leadership experience within the public or broader public sector, ideally in healthcare.
Known for sound judgment, strong business acumen and the ability to lead complex initiatives and system change, you bring proven experience working with Boards of Directors, a solid understanding of governance requirements, and the technical fluency to leverage financial, ERP and office-based systems.
Ideally proficient in French and English, you are a collaborative, values-driven leader with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, strong qualitative and quantitative assessment capabilities, and can quickly gain familiarity with Ontario's public hospital and healthcare legislative environment.
