Job SummaryThe Chief Financial Officer oversees the health care facility's organizational development, strategic planning, and operations improvement of the facility.
Performance: Position Specific Essential Functions- Assess the financial management infrastructure, make recommendations and implement changes that are appropriate.
- Oversee the cost management activities of the organization and be an expert resource in this regard.
- Participates meaningfully in strategic planning for the hospital and the system.
- Serve as the accountable individual for financial audits and reports.
- Lead the budget development process.
- Demonstrate high level heath care business and financial management skills.
- Provide leadership by developing comprehensive financial plans, program analyses and strategies.
- Demonstrate expertise in areas of reimbursement, cost management, productivity, competitive business analysis and cash management.
- Demonstrates ability to work with physicians and physician executives and works towards continues superior working relationships with Shannon Clinic.
- Ensures that the Medical Center financial management structure and staffing are appropriate and responsive to the needs of the organization.
- Consults with and advises senior management and key operations officers withing the organization.
- Consistently acts as a positive representative for Shannon Health System and as a role model to mentor development of management staff.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
