Position Details:As part of the Finance team, you will report to the Chief Operating Officer. You will you will manage the finance responsibilities of our dynamic organization and medical practice with a $100 million plus annual operating budget. You will help guide complex financial operations, increase resources, and improve organizational growth while ensuring an understanding of our long-term objectives.
This is an exempt, full-time position requiring a minimum of four (4) days per week in the office located in our NYC headquarters office.
You Will:- Oversee financial functions and implement system of policies, internal controls, accounting standards, and procedures ensuring security and smooth daily operations.
- Develop and use forward-looking, predictive models and activity-based financial analyses to provide insight into our operations and business plans while ensuring that funds are available to permit the organization to manage its work.
- Provide strategic guidance on how to grow Child Mind Institute revenue streams.
- Participate in corporate policy development as a member of the executive leadership team.
- Collaborate with the Audit and Finance Committee of the Board of Directors and ensure that the Child Mind Institute is observing the financial aspects of the strategic plan.
- Provide leadership in developing programs, organizational and financial plans with executive leadership and other partners.
- Oversee organizational financial health, communicating results, and developing strategies.
- Maintain a working knowledge of developments and trends in the field while remaining up to date on nonprofit best practices and state and federal laws regarding nonprofit administration.
- Utilize external presence and relationships to garner new opportunities.
- Perform additional job-related duties as assigned.
You Have:- Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
- 12 years of non-profit senior management experience managing daily financial operations of a complex nonprofit with a budget of at least $80MM.
- Past success working with a Board of Directors with the ability to cultivate existing board member relationships. Understanding and practical use of Non-Profit Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Experience in or knowledge of nonprofit accounting, including fund and grant accounting, compliance, reporting and managing government grants.

Factors such as candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations affect the salary offered within this range. In addition, this salary may be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state and depending on the role), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
