Position Summary [Remote Position]:

Lead the financial strategy behind our next stage of growth.

Cardinal Pediatric Therapies is entering its next stage of growth, and we're looking for a Chief Financial Officer who wants to build alongside us. This role will partner closely with the CEO and Executive Leadership Team to strengthen our financial operations, improve decision-making, and help position the organization for long-term success.

We're looking for a finance executive who enjoys building. Someone who can think strategically while remaining comfortable working alongside the team to improve systems, solve problems, and create scalable financial operations. This role requires a balance of executive leadership, operational thinking, and hands-on financial expertise.

What You'll Do

As Chief Financial Officer, you will lead the organization's financial strategy while overseeing all accounting and finance operations. We are looking for a finance leader who has successfully built finance functions, improved financial systems, strengthened internal controls, and supported organizational growth through sound financial leadership.

The ideal candidate combines strong technical accounting expertise with strategic business acumen and enjoys helping organizations become more efficient, scalable, and financially disciplined. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and executing the organization's financial strategy in partnership with the CEO and Executive Leadership Team.
  • Leading accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, treasury management, payroll oversight, cash management, and financial operations.
  • Providing executive leadership with timely financial reporting, forecasts, financial analysis, and strategic recommendations that support informed decision-making.
  • Establishing executive dashboards, key performance indicators, and financial reporting tools that provide meaningful visibility into organizational performance.
  • Building scalable accounting processes, financial systems, and internal controls that support continued growth.
  • Leading financial planning, forecasting, and long-range budgeting initiatives.
  • Evaluating financial risks and opportunities while recommending proactive solutions that improve organizational performance.
  • Managing banking relationships, cash flow, external audits, tax compliance, regulatory reporting, and other financial partnerships.
  • Leading financial systems improvements, automation initiatives, and process optimization efforts.
  • Partnering with operational, clinical, human resources, business development, and administrative leaders to drive financial accountability, resource allocation, and long-term strategic decision-making.
  • Recruiting, developing, and leading a high-performing finance team.

Qualifications:

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of seven years of progressive accounting or finance leadership experience.
  • Minimum of five years leading accounting, finance, or financial operations teams.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, treasury management, internal controls, and financial analysis.
  • Demonstrated experience improving accounting processes, financial systems, and organizational reporting.
  • Experience managing external audits, banking relationships, financial compliance, and third-party financial partnerships.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Ability to present financial information and recommendations clearly to executive leadership and non-financial stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality.


Preferred:
  • CPA, CMA, MBA, or other relevant executive finance credential.
  • Previous experience serving as a Chief Financial Officer, Vice President of Finance, Finance Director, or Controller with significant strategic leadership responsibilities.
  • Experience leading finance operations within a growing, multi-location organization.
  • Experience in healthcare, behavioral health, ABA services, or other multi-site service organizations.
  • Experience leading ERP implementations, financial system optimization, automation initiatives, or business intelligence reporting.
  • Experience developing executive dashboards, KPI reporting, and organizational financial analytics.
  • Experience with mergers and acquisitions, capital planning, banking negotiations, or private equity-backed organizations.
