The Chief Financial Officer reports directly to the Owner / Dealer Principal. Responsible for the directing financial activities of the organization by performing the following duties and / or through subordinate managers and accounting personnel.Essential Functions: Financial Leadership and Strategy- Serve as a business partner to the leadership team.
- Deliver clear insights into financial performance, trends and improvement opportunities to the other executive team members.
Accounting, Close & Controls- Standardize and ensure all accounting policies are followed.
- Ensure the implementation of proper internal controls to safeguard company assets and maintain the accuracy of financial information provided to management.
- Design and operate a fast, accurate monthly close with disciplined controls and auditable processes.
- Oversee compliance with applicable regulations and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting.
Treasury, Tax and Insurance- Own Treasury and Cash management and optimize working capital.
- Manage staff and coordinate Sales tax, Business and Franchise & Excise payments and returns.
- Oversee insurance (business and Health) analysis and annual renewal.
Relevant Experience - Experience with multi-site financial management is required.
- Experience with DMS Reynolds & Reynolds ERA Ignite Highly Preferred.
- Ability to thrive in a hands-on environment where strategic thinking and execution go together.
- Expert financial modeler and advanced Excel skills.
Education & Experience- Bachelor's degree in Accounting / Finance.
- CPA and / or MBA preferred.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the job typically acquired through 10 or more years of related experience.
