Position Title: Chief Financial Officer

The Chief Financial Officer will play a pivotal role in aligning financial management with the organization's strategic objectives. This position requires a seasoned professional capable of navigating complex financial landscapes while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Chief Financial Officer Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development and management of the annual organizational budget and major event budgets
  • Annually update and review the organization's multi-year forecast
  • Oversee the development of monthly financial reports, providing analysis to the CEO
  • Manage cash and investment strategies in collaboration with the CEO and Board of Directors
  • Supervise the maintenance of accounting records and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations
  • Oversee the processing and execution of all statements of work and maintain internal controls
  • Lead the annual audit process and ensure timely filing of all tax forms
  • Supervise and develop finance, accounting, and business operations staff

Chief Financial Officer Requirements:
  • 10+ years of progressively responsible accounting and financial management experience
  • Experience managing audits, grants, and compliance with funding regulations
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills
  • Proficiency in organizational software, including Google Drive and Microsoft Office Suite
  • BA minimum; Master's degree or comparable experience in accounting or business administration is preferred
  • Non-profit finance and operations experience is preferred
  • CPA and/or MBA is preferred
  • Single audit experience is preferred
