We are seeking an accomplished and visionary Chief Experience Officer (CXO) to join our Executive Leadership Team and help shape the future of hospice and palliative care. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the CXO will lead the organization's enterprise-wide experience strategy, ensuring that every interaction reflects our mission, values, and commitment to compassionate, high-quality care. This is a unique opportunity for a mission-driven healthcare executive to influence the experience of care across an entire organization while leading a diverse portfolio spanning quality, customer experience, clinical education and more. You will partner closely with executive leadership to drive transformation, strengthen organizational culture, advance strategic growth, and ensure that every patient and family interaction reflects the dignity, compassion, and excellence at the heart of hospice care.

What You’ll Do

Lead Enterprise Experience Strategy

  • Develop and execute an organization-wide Experience Strategy aligned with the company's mission, values, and strategic priorities
  • Establish and advance enterprise-wide standards for service excellence and customer experience
  • Champion a culture of compassion, dignity, accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement
  • Ensure the patient and family experience remains central to organizational strategy and decision-making

Elevate Patient, Family & Community Experience

  • Lead initiatives that improve experiences for patients, families, caregivers, referral partners, volunteers, and community stakeholders
  • Use customer feedback, experience data, and performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Partner with operational and clinical leaders to create consistent, high-quality experiences across the continuum of care
  • Develop strategies that strengthen trust, loyalty, engagement, and connection with the communities we serve

Advance Quality, Education

  • Provide executive leadership for healthcare quality and service excellence initiatives
  • Oversee clinical education strategies that strengthen workforce capability, compliance, and professional development
  • Ensure the organization's mission and values are meaningfully integrated throughout the employee and patient experience
  • Lead programs that promote quality of life, dignity, compassionate care, and meaningful experiences

Executive Leadership & Strategic Partnership

  • Serve as a key member of the Executive Leadership Team
  • Partner closely with the CEO and senior leaders to translate organizational strategy into measurable outcomes
  • Prepare and communicate executive-level insights, performance metrics, and strategic recommendations
  • Represent the organization with community leaders, donors, healthcare partners, referral sources, and regulatory agencies
  • Build strong relationships across clinical, operational, administrative, and community stakeholders

 

What You'll Bring

Experience

  • 10+ years of progressive healthcare leadership experience
  • Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Nursing, Public Health, Organizational Leadership, or a related field required
  • Executive leadership experience in hospice, home health, palliative care, post-acute healthcare, or a related healthcare environment strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated success leading organizational transformation, quality improvement, customer experience, culture, and service excellence initiatives
  • Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams and enterprise-wide strategic initiatives

Qualifications

  • Education: Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Nursing, Public Health, Organizational Leadership, or related field required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive healthcare leadership experience. Executive leadership experience in hospice, home health, palliative care, or post-acute healthcare strongly preferred. Demonstrated success leading organizational transformation, quality improvement, customer experience, and culture initiatives. Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams and enterprise-wide strategic initiatives.
  • Required: Reliable transportation. Must be willing to travel as needed.
