Who are we hiring?

The Chief Engineer is responsible for monitoring the engineering department's overall operations, ensuring performance efficiency, and ensuring strict compliance with the safety standards and regulatory procedures. The Chief Engineer will manage the distribution of the tasks to the team, communicate with the clients and management for instructions and specifications, monitor expenses and provide critical information for budgeting, analyze and approve designs, negotiate contracts, and process disputes. The Chief Engineer must have exceptional knowledge of the engineering disciplines and exemplary leadership skills to manage the team's performance towards the company's objectives.

What will you do?CMMS Management:
  • Assists the Director of Facility Maintenance & Projects with the coordination and completion of all work activities.
  • Create and Implement the Corrective and Preventative Maintenance programs within the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
  • Manages the scheduling, reporting, and completion of all preventive maintenance tasks for venue equipment, mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), HVAC, and other various infrastructure.
  • Utilize trend analysis on Engineering analytics to adjust work accomplishment KPIs as necessary.
  • Monitors workflow, helps ensure timely completion of demand and preventive work orders utilizing the CMMS.
  • Train, assist, and guide other departments on CMMS best practices.
  • Support the department with technical troubleshooting and repair of all mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP); fire-life safety; lighting control; and AV systems.
  • Perform routine inspections to ensure standards are met.
  • Recognizes and provides coaching, counseling, and discipline as appropriate.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Engineering & Project Management:
  • Assists with the planning, coordination, and execution of venue-related projects (e.g., renovations, upgrades, equipment installation).
  • Collaborate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of projects and maintenance tasks.
  • Researches, locates, and orders parts and materials to help maintain the facility.
  • Assists with skills-based training of Engineering associates on proper repair and quality craftsmanship techniques.
  • Ensure that all projects comply with safety, regulatory, and quality standards.
  • Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair/improvement requirements and costs.

Operational Support:
  • Collaborate with the operations and technical teams to ensure that all venue equipment is functioning optimally.
  • Analyze reports on maintenance activities, performance metrics, and project progress.
  • Attends event planning meetings to interpret engineering needs.
  • Adapt to changing work demands, responding to urgent repairs, emergency calls, and event-related maintenance tasks.

Vendor Management:
  • Assist the Director Engineering & Projects with identification, scheduling, and coordination of outside service providers to ensure timely, efficient, and quality repair and maintenance activities.
  • Assists with the administration of contracts to ensure vendors meet quality and service expectations.
  • Determine neatness, accuracy and thoroughness of the work assigned.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor with external vendors that reflects positively on organization.


What do you need to succeed?
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a building or project over 100,00 ft2.
  • Technical knowledge of commercial building MEP systems; chilled water, hot water, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, Carpentry, AV, etc.
  • Ability to read/understand/interpret Blueprints.
  • Previous experience with BlueBeam / AutoCad a plus.
  • Knowledge of safety rules, procedures, and practices, including the proper use of safety equipment as defined by OSHA and industry standards.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft products including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Able to provide on-call coverage when scheduled.


Special requirements of the job:
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, inclusive of weekends, nights (event evenings & overnight operation shifts) and holidays.
  • Ability to monitor company communications and respond to time sensitive matters with senior executives.
  • This job is operated in an office and stadium environment. The noise level is usually moderate but can be loud within the stadium environment. This position will work in various weather conditions including, but not limited to, heat, cold, rain and sunny environments.
  • Heavy lifting, up to 50 lbs.
  • Standing/walking for extended periods of time
  • Carrying and/or transporting heavy objects, usually by hand, arm, or shoulder
  • Pushing, pulling, and exerting force to complete tasks and assignments
