Full Job Description
The Vice President, Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) is responsible for leading TabaPay's independent Second Line Compliance function and maintaining an enterprise-wide Compliance Management System (CMS) that enables the Company to operate safely, soundly, and in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, supervisory guidance, and industry standards.

Reporting directly to the Chief Risk Officer, the CCO serves as the Company's senior compliance executive and is responsible for providing independent oversight of compliance risk across all business lines and legal entities.

The CCO provides strategic leadership across Consumer Compliance, Regulatory Compliance, and BSA/AML Compliance while partnering closely with Product, Operations, Technology, Legal, Finance, and Internal Audit to enable responsible innovation and growth.

This leader owns and continuously enhances the Company's Compliance Management System, ensuring compliance risks are identified, assessed, monitored, reported, and remediated through an effective governance framework aligned with regulatory expectations and enterprise risk management practices.

What You'll Do
  • Lead TabaPay's independent Second Line Compliance function and provide enterprise-wide compliance leadership.
  • Ensure compliance risks are appropriately identified, assessed, measured, monitored, controlled, and reported.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership and the Board on compliance strategy, regulatory expectations, and emerging compliance risks.
  • Own and continuously improve the enterprise-wide Compliance Management System (CMS), including:
    • Compliance governance
    • Compliance risk assessments
    • Regulatory change management
    • Policies and procedures
    • Compliance monitoring and testing
    • Compliance reporting and metrics
    • Issues management
    • Compliance training and awareness
    • Ensure the CMS remains aligned with regulatory expectations, supervisory guidance, and industry-leading practices.
    • Provide executive oversight of BSA/AML Compliance, Consumer Compliance, and enterprise regulatory compliance programs.
    • Lead regulatory change management efforts and ensure timely assessment and implementation of applicable regulatory requirements.
    • Provide credible challenge to management and recommend actions to address emerging compliance risks and strengthen the overall control environment.
    • Partner with Product and business leaders to ensure compliance requirements are incorporated into new products, services, and strategic initiatives.
    • Build, develop, and lead a high-performing compliance organization that supports TabaPay's growth and regulatory obligations.

Required
  • 15+ years of progressively responsible compliance leadership experience.
  • 8+ years leading enterprise compliance programs within banking, payments, fintech, or other regulated financial services organizations.
  • Deep understanding of Compliance Management Systems (CMS) and regulatory expectations.
  • Demonstrated experience leading a Second Line Compliance function.
  • Experience leading regulatory examinations and maintaining relationships with federal and state regulators.
  • Proven experience building, scaling, or transforming compliance organizations.
  • Strong executive presence with Board-level communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive enterprise-wide initiatives.

Preferred
  • Juris Doctor (JD)
  • CAMS, CRCM, or similar professional certification


The compensation for this position is $200,000 - $250,000. However, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
