Job Description

The Chief Business Officer, AI Services will lead the commercial growth agenda for a rapidly scaling AI Services business within a major global technology services and consulting organization.

Reporting directly to the Chief Growth Officer, Technology & Business Services, this executive will be responsible for accelerating an established AI Services business of approximately $200M toward a $1B scale ambition, with the United States serving as the initial priority market.

This is a front-end, business-building and revenue leadership role for an executive who can translate AI, Data, Cloud, Digital Engineering and related technology capabilities into significant enterprise relationships, large-scale transformation programs and sustainable profitable growth.

The mandate is heavily focused on net-new business creation, with approximately 70-80% of the commercial agenda centered on new logos and major new revenue, complemented by selective strategic expansion of existing relationships.

The successful executive will personally originate, shape and help close complex enterprise opportunities, build C-suite relationships across major U.S. organizations, and mobilize sales, solutions, engineering, alliances and delivery teams around high-value pursuits.

This is not primarily an AI strategy, delivery, operations or account-management role. While deep credibility in AI and emerging technologies is essential, success will ultimately be measured through revenue creation, new-logo acquisition, major-deal generation, business scale, profitability and repeatable commercial growth.

The role requires a senior commercial leader who has successfully built or materially scaled businesses across Data, Cloud, Digital and AI, ideally within a global IT services, digital engineering, outsourcing or comparable technology-services environment, and who brings strong access to enterprise decision-makers in the U.S. market.

Qualifications
  • 20+ years of progressive leadership experience in enterprise sales, business development, growth, P&L or business-unit leadership within global IT services, digital engineering, outsourcing or comparable technology-services environments.
  • Proven experience building and materially scaling significant Data, Cloud, Digital and/or AI businesses, with direct revenue, bookings and/or P&L accountability.
  • Strong and recent AI commercialization experience, including AI, GenAI, Agentic AI, AI/ML or AI-enabled enterprise services and solutions.
  • Demonstrated track record of personally originating and winning net-new enterprise logos, including large, complex, multi-year technology-services engagements.
  • Proven ability to create and manage a significant enterprise sales pipeline and convert opportunities into measurable revenue.
  • Strong experience selling complex combinations of AI, Data, Cloud, Digital Engineering, platforms and managed services to large enterprise clients.
  • Established U.S. enterprise market presence and C-suite network, with demonstrated access to CEOs, CIOs, CTOs, CDOs, CAIOs, COOs and other senior decision-makers.
  • Experience operating within a large-scale global IT services organization; background with India-rooted global technology-services companies or comparable organizations is highly valued.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence cross-functional sales, solutions, engineering, alliances and delivery teams while maintaining direct commercial accountability.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise AI market dynamics, including GenAI, Agentic AI, data foundations, cloud infrastructure, AI engineering, enterprise platforms, governance and ecosystem partnerships.
  • Evidence of leading a business or commercial portfolio at sufficient scale to credibly support a mandate to grow an established approximately $200M AI Services business toward $1B.
  • Strong executive communication, negotiation and thought-leadership capabilities with the ability to translate complex AI and technology capabilities into measurable business outcomes.
  • U.S. work authorization and ability to travel as required.

The strongest candidates will typically bring experience from organizations such as HCLTech, Cognizant, Wipro, TCS, Infosys, Tech Mahindra or comparable global IT services firms, with additional relevant talent potentially coming from organizations such as Accenture, Genpact, NTT DATA, Capgemini or IBM Consulting when there is clear evidence of direct commercial and P&L ownership.

Additional Information

This is a high-impact executive leadership opportunity within a global technology services organization undergoing a significant AI-centric transformation.

The successful executive will have the opportunity to:
  • Lead the commercial scale-up of an established AI Services business with an ambition to grow from approximately $200M toward $1B.
  • Work directly with the Chief Growth Officer, Technology & Business Services and collaborate with senior leaders across industries, sales, technology, engineering and delivery.
  • Shape how AI, GenAI and Agentic AI capabilities are positioned, commercialized and scaled across major enterprise clients.
  • Build a strong U.S.-led growth engine, with potential for broader global expansion as the business scales.
  • Develop strategic relationships with C-suite executives and lead major, multi-year AI-led transformation opportunities.
  • Influence the evolution of the organization's AI commercial model, including solutions, platforms, services, partnerships and outcome-oriented business models.

A highly competitive executive compensation package will be offered, including fixed compensation, performance-based incentives and long-term equity components, depending on the candidate's experience, current compensation and overall fit.

This is a confidential executive search. Additional information regarding the organization, business structure and compensation will be shared with qualified candidates as they advance through the selection process.
