Description
The Department of Surgery at NYU Langone Health is seeking a dynamic, full-time accomplished, academic surgeon-leader to serve as Chief, Acute Care Surgery at its Manhattan campus. This position provides clinical and administrative leadership for Emergency General Surgery (EGS) and Surgical Critical Care , at one of the nation's leading quaternary referral centers. The ideal candidate will possess excellent clinical and technical skills, have exceptional outcomes, and take a collaborative approach to patient care. The selected candidate must be collaborative and be able to interact well with colleagues inside and outside the division. Note: the Manhattan campus is not a designated trauma center.

Compensation: Competitive salary and benefits package, commensurate with experience. Salary range $XXX - $XXX. Qualifications
Qualifications
• MD or DO, board certified in General Surgery
• Board certified in Surgical Critical Care
• Fellowship training in Acute Care Surgery preferred
• Established leadership experience in Acute Care Surgery (EGS and / or Surgical Critical Care) within an academic medical center
• Strong EGS robotic experience preferred
• Eligible for appointment at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor at NYU Grossman School of Medicine
