En tant que scientifique au sein de l'organisation mondiale " Hitachi Energy Research ", vous proposerez et dirigerez des projets de recherche de pointe visant à repousser les limites du savoir et de la technologie pour les futurs produits et services d'Hitachi Energy. Le niveau de grade pour ce poste sera déterminé en fonction de à l'expérience, des compétences et des qualifications du candidat.

Votre expérience

  • Doctorat en génie électrique avec une spécialisation en systèmes d'énergie, ou maîtrise avec une expérience industrielle équivalente.
  • Expérience dans un ou plusieurs des domaines suivants : modélisation, dynamique, exploitation, contrôle ou planification en réseaux électriques.
  • Expérience industrielle préalable avec une ou plusieurs technologies de contrôle comme SCADA, EMS, DMS ou automatisation de sous-stations est fortement souhaitée.
  • La connaissance des normes de fiabilité et/ou des directives d'exploitation telles que celles fournies par le NERC ou ISO - souhaitable.
  • Expérience industrielle préalable en matière d'opérations de salles de contrôle de transmission ou de distribution (front-end ou back-end) - f fortement souhaitable.
  • Connaissance des normes et protocoles pertinents tels que IEC 61850 (GOOSE et SV), DNP3, protocoles PMU, Modbus, etc.
  • Maîtrise des outils de calcul et de simulation tels que Matlab, Simulink, PSCAD,
    RTDS/Opal-RT, PSS/E, DIgSILENT-PowerFactory, etc.
  • Maîtrise des langages de programmation courants tels que Python ou C++ fortement souhaitable.
  • Une formation théorique attestée par des publications dans des revues et conférences réputées est souhaitable.


The opportunity

We are looking for a research scientist with expertise in Power Systems for our research center in Montreal, Quebec. As a scientist in the global Hitachi Energy Research organization, you will propose and lead cutting edge research projects to push the boundaries of knowledge and technology for Hitachi Energy's future products and services. The seniority level for this position will align with the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications.

How you'll make an impact
  • Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering with a focus on power systems, or Master's with equivalent industrial experience
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas: power system modeling, dynamics, operation, control, or planning.
  • Prior industrial experience with one or more control technologies like SCADA, EMS, DMS, or substation automation is highly desired.
  • Knowledge of reliability standards and/or operation guidelines such as those provided by NERC or ISOs is preferred.
  • Prior industrial experience in transmission or distribution control room operations (frontend or backend) is highly desired.
  • Familiarity with relevant standards and protocols such as IEC 61850 (GOOSE and SV), DNP3, PMU protocols, Modbus, etc.
  • Proficient in computation and simulation tools, such as Matlab, Simulink, PSCAD, RTDS/Opal-RT, PSS/E, DIgSILENT-PowerFactory, etc.
