Job Title: Chemical Process Engineer
Location: Mainland, PA 19451

As a Chemical Process Engineer, you'll play a key role in supporting Accupac's Compounding operations, helping improve batch efficiency, troubleshoot process challenges, and support the successful transition of new customer projects into production.

What You'll Do:
• As a Chemical Process Engineer, you will support Accupac's Compounding operations by assessing equipment systems, processes, capacity, and improvement opportunities.
• You will help drive safety, quality, product transfers, and batch-making efficiency within the Compounding department, while partnering closely with internal teams and customer technical resources to transition new projects into production.
• In this role, you will lead root cause analysis for out-of-specification batches and help implement sustainable corrective actions.
• You will use metrics and data to identify, prioritize, and drive process improvement projects, applying Lean and Six Sigma principles to reduce deviations, improve processes, and support facility improvement initiatives.
• You will develop batch cards and compounding instructions that align with customer specifications and FDA Current Good Compounding Practices guidelines.
• You will also support experimental batches, stability, and validation activities, review and approve customer documentation related to product manufacturing, and consult with Sales and internal teams to assess new compounding projects, equipment needs, and technology requirements.
• You will train Compounding personnel on new product introductions, process updates, and changes, while communicating process, quality, or operational concerns that may impact Accupac to leadership.

• A Master's degree in Chemical Engineering is preferred.
• The ideal candidate will bring 5+ years of experience in a related manufacturing, compounding, chemical, cosmetic, personal care, OTC, or regulated industry environment.
• This person should have a strong working knowledge of FDA Current Good Compounding Practices as they relate to compounding operations, along with strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience using metrics to drive decision-making, process improvement, and operational efficiency is important, and Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement experience is highly preferred.
• The right candidate will be able to communicate, influence, and lead plant personnel through process changes at the ground level. They should be highly organized, collaborative, and comfortable working cross-functionally with teams across Compounding, Sales, Operations, and customer technical groups.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and computer systems is required.
• This role also requires someone who is comfortable walking or standing on concrete floors, bending repeatedly, climbing step stools, lifting up to 40 lbs, and pushing or pulling up to 75 lbs as needed.
