Full Job Description
We are currently seeking an applicant interested in a long-term position in the Cincinnati Technology Center CTC who will be responsible for interpreting analytical data to assess fluid health, predict equipment performance, and define maintenance and remediation strategies for Data Center/Direct Liquid Cooling DLC fluid applications. An ideal candidate must have 3-5 years of experience in analytical chemistry, fluid analysis, or condition monitoring and analytical testing experience in DLC fluids. As part of the Technical Services team, this role serves as a technical authority in fluid condition monitoring, combining deep chemistry knowledge with data-driven insights to diagnose issues, recommend actions, and make final decisions regarding fluid suitability and maintenance strategies. As a Chemical Engineer - DLC this role will also contribute to the development of predictive analytics tools, including AI-enabled diagnostics, to enhance system reliability and customer value. Key Responsibilities 1. Fluid Diagnostics & Predictive Analysis • Analyze complex analytical data to determine fluid condition, degradation mechanisms, and system health • Identify trends and patterns to predict equipment and fluid performance/failure modes • Develop and apply condition-based monitoring methodologies for cooling systems • Translate laboratory and field data into actionable insights and risk assessments 2. Decision-Making Authority • Recommend actions based on analytical results and performance criteria • Define and recommend fluid maintenance, remediation, and replacement strategies • Support in establishing thresholds, limits, and decision frameworks for fluid health and usability by working closely with R&D Product Owner, OEM and/or end user • Provide final technical judgment on customer issues requiring expert evaluation 3. Customer-Facing Technical Support • Communicate findings through clear, data-driven reports and presentations • Provide troubleshooting support and root cause analysis for customer issues • Engage directly with customers, OEMs, and internal teams to resolve technical challenges • Translate complex analytical results into practical recommendations and actions 4. Advanced Analytics & AI Development • Support development of predictive models and trend analysis tools for fluid monitoring • Collaborate with data science and R&D teams to build AI-driven diagnostic capabilities • Define data requirements, key parameters, and diagnostic logic for automated systems • Continuously improve analytics methodologies through feedback and validation 5. Technical Leadership & Knowledge Development • Serve as an expert in DLC fluids and system performance • Maintain deep knowledge of fluid chemistry, degradation pathways, and application conditions • Contribute to development of best practices, standards, and diagnostic methodologies • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to internal stakeholders as needed 6.
