Brand Manager / Senior Brand Manager, Monoferric

Specialty Care & Internal Medicine (SCIM) | Pfizer Canada

Monoferric is changing the way iron deficiency anemia is treated in Canada. We are looking for an experienced brand manager to take it into its next chapter.

Why this role matters

Iron deficiency anemia (IDA) is common, under-diagnosed, and genuinely disruptive to the people who live with it. Monoferric is currently the number 1 IV iron formulation in Canada, building a strong reputation with clinicians that treat IDA as a patient-centric solution. Our ambition is clear: demonstrate leadership across every therapeutic area where IDA plays a role.

About the opportunity

The Monoferric Brand Manager / Senior Brand Manager reports to the Specialty Care and Internal Medicine (SCIM) Marketing Director and owns the Pfizer strategy, plan, and execution for the brand, working across market access, medical, regulatory, sales, trade relations, corporate affairs, and senior leadership.

Two elements make this role unique. You will collaborate directly with a partner organization to determine the strategic direction and shared priorities of the brand and lead the execution of the community strategy. In this role you will shape how we reach and support prescribers in treatment settings beyond the hospital, where a growing share of IDA patients are identified and treated.

This is a 13-month contract position, well suited to an experienced brand manager who wants a defined mandate, a clear set of objectives, and the chance to deliver visible commercial impact quickly.

What your day to day will look like
  • Build a cross-functional strategic plan for Monoferric and lead its execution end to end
  • Develop three-year brand plans that integrate tactics across functions and align stakeholders
  • Lead the community strategy, translating it into clear priorities and tools for our customer-facing teams
  • Collaborate with our Partner organization on shared objectives, joint planning, and market development
  • Turn insight from patients, healthcare providers, and colleagues into sharper brand decisions
  • Engage and inspire field colleagues around brand objectives, key messages, and positioning
  • Track business performance, diagnose the barriers to growth, and build plans to address them
  • Own your operating budget and get the best from the agencies and partners you lead
  • Identify and report adverse events and product complaints in line with corporate procedure, including Your Reporting Responsibilities (YRR) training

How you will grow here
  • Delivering growth. Carrying a revenue-critical brand at pace against demanding targets.
  • Leading without authority. Setting direction for a cross-functional team in a matrix organization, through influence rather than reporting lines.
  • Building partnerships. Working shoulder to shoulder with our partner organization and other external stakeholders.
  • Patient-centric strategy. Shaping the plan around the IDA patient journey and where Monoferric makes the biggest difference.
  • Commercial acumen and influence. Defining what good looks like in milestones and KPIs, then selling the plan internally and externally.

What we think you will need to succeed
  • University degree in science, health sciences, or business
  • 3-8+ years Pharmaceutical Marketing experience managing brands at more than one stage of the lifecycle
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate market insights into business decisions
  • Experience influencing cross-functional teams in a matrix environment
  • Knowledge of the Canadian healthcare and reimbursement landscape
  • Experience engaging healthcare professionals and senior leaders
  • Experience managing vendors, agencies, and strategic partners
  • Pharmaceutical sales experience is an asset
  • Bilingualism (French and English): An advanced level of English, both spoken and written, is required to enable the individual to collaborate effectively with colleagues and partners located elsewhere in Canada and internationally daily as part of their responsibilities.
  • Working proficiency with Microsoft Office and AI tools

Ready to take this on?

If you want a brand with momentum, a partnership to build, and a team that will both support and challenge you, we would like to hear from you.

d support a way of working that fosters innovation and patient-centricity. Currently, our employees are expected to be on-site 2.5 -3 days per week blending on-site collaboration and connection with off-site remote working when it makes business sense to do so.
