The Role
As MCS Delivery Manager, you will play a critical role in bringing the Maersk Customs Services (MCS) Product Strategy to life by leading a high‑performing team of customs and logistics professionals responsible for executing customers’ customs operations with excellence, efficiency, and full regulatory compliance. You will be accountable for the day‑to‑day delivery of MCS across multiple customs offices, traffic flows, and customs regimes, managing end‑to‑end customs processes while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. Working closely with internal stakeholders and external partners, you will apply your expertise in customs compliance and global trade to ensure consistent, high‑quality service delivery that supports business growth and long‑term customer success.
Key responsibilities:
Support the annual Maersk Customs Services (MCS) product strategy, including operational forecasting and planning, in close collaboration with Procurement and Product teams.
Ensure achievement of MCS financial objectives by driving accurate and timely end‑to‑end execution against monthly Revenue, Cost, and Gross Profit targets.
Design and lead regular operational reviews to monitor performance and drive continuous improvement across MCS processes.
Ensure the effective implementation of new projects from a trade compliance and customs operations perspective.
Plan, design, implement, and execute MCS service delivery for customer operations, ensuring consistency, quality, and compliance.
Collaborate proactively across multi‑product solutions and cross‑functional business teams to deliver integrated outcomes.
Identify operational and business risks early and take corrective actions to prevent service disruptions.
Drive service delivery excellence through daily communication and coordination with internal teams, customers, vendors, and external partners.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and external stakeholders, including customs authorities, terminals, chambers of commerce, and other regulatory bodies.
Define, measure, monitor, and continuously improve MCS key performance indicators (KPIs).
Improve vendor performance by managing Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and driving accountability.
Support the development and engagement of the MCS delivery team by fostering collaboration, learning, and growth opportunities.
What we are looking for:
Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Customs, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field
Minimum of 10 years of experience in Customs Operations across multiple customs regimes (definitive, temporary, in‑transit, RFE, fiscal depot)
Strong working knowledge of Mexican regulations, including Customs Law, Foreign Trade Law, VAT Law, IMMEX Decree, and related frameworks
Demonstrated commitment to delivering a best‑in‑class customer experience
Structured, results‑driven approach with the ability to manage complexity
Experience working in large, global organizations and navigating complex stakeholder environments
Proven ability to work effectively with remote teams
Capability to influence and collaborate across teams outside of direct reporting lines and across multiple products
Strong stakeholder management skills with a track record of delivering results through others
Adaptability and resilience in fast‑paced, changing environments
