Responsibilities:

Our specialized Vascular Progressive Care Unit is hiring a charge RN.

Charge RN will work under the direction of the Nursing Director, works with the Department RN Manager and RN Assistant Manager as a part of the management/leadership team to provide clinical and operational shift supervision of care processes which includes patient flow, exceptional care experiences, quality processes, patient safety, and direction of unit staff in designated service area(s). May provide direct patient care

This unit is dedicated to providing high quality, patient centered care for individuals undergoing cardiothoracic and vascular procedures including surgical interventions as well as general progressive patients. Currently a 24-bed unit, with expansion planned to 36 beds across 2 units. It is a fast-paced setting where patients require 24-hour complex care and continuous cardiac monitoring.

Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum One year of nursing experience required

Specialty Certifications: Specialty Certifications in area of practice preferred

Education:
Essential:
* Associate Degree

*ACLS

Credentials:
Essential:
* Registered Nurse; Licensure: State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License required.

Academic Preparation:
*Degree from accredited academic nursing program (If a program is under conditional status, approval may be granted by system CNO)

*Additional Requirements based upon area of service
*CDS Inpatient
*Progressive and Critical Care Units: ACLS
*Emergency Departments: ACLS, PALS
*Pediatrics / PICU: PALS
*Newborn Nursery / Mother-Baby Care / NICU: NRP
*Family Birthing Center: NRP and Fetal Monitoring; permanent charge requires ACLS in addition to others
*Pre-op / Operating Room / PACU: ACLS, PALS
*Oncology Chemotherapy certification
