Overview

Join our team as a day shift, full-time, Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse in Albuquerque, NM.

  • Lovelace Women's Hospital is a 53-bed advanced neonatal intensive care unit, family care unit, an award-winning breast care center and the first robotic surgery program in the state recognized as a Center of Excellence in Robotic Surgery by Surgical Review Corporation.

Responsibilities

  • The Charge RN is responsible and accountable for the practice of Professional Nursing, including the nursing management of the patient and staff of assigned area in his/her charge.
  • Manages efficient patient flow, appropriate use of supplies and other operational functions.
  • Collaborates with the unit managers and/or directors in developing and revising unit policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Serves as departmental liaison and first line of contact with patients, providers and staff.
  • Adheres to policies and procedures and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:
  • Minimum: Associate's Degree or Diploma of Nursing
  • One (1) year of Charge Nurse experience in hospital setting OR more than one year of clinical or management experience
  • CPR;
  • BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
  • Valid NM Nursing license or NM compact license (within 90 days of hire);

Preferred Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing;
  • National Certification in clinical specialty care
