Job Summary

The Channel Manager, Paid Search & Affiliate Marketing is a high-impact, dual-channel role on ISC's centralized Retail Marketing Team (RMT), sitting within the Channel Acquisition Team under the Director of Channel Acquisition. This person is responsible for the strategy and optimization of two of ISC's highest-priority acquisition channels: paid search and affiliate/aggregator partnerships across 5 distinct business units. Initially an individual contributor, this role will be tasked with day-to-day management of our paid search efforts while optimizing/ diversifying our affiliate partnerships. Success is measured in policy binds, CAC efficiency and revenue contribution.

Position Responsibilities
  • Own paid search campaign strategy and optimization across Google Ads and Microsoft Ads for all active ISC retail business units, including bid strategy, budget allocation, match type governance, non-brand keyword expansion, negative keyword hygiene, and quality score improvement.
  • Own the affiliate and aggregator partnership performance across the ISC portfolio, including performance oversight of existing partners (LendingTree, NerdWallet, Red Ventures, Forbes, Money Group, The Knot, Cvent, Nationwide, and others), identification and onboarding of net-new partners, and commercial optimization of placement terms and commission structures.
  • Lead channel-level test design and optimization across paid search and affiliate, including bidding experiments, landing page routing tests, partner placement tests, and audience segmentation. Synthesize results into actionable recommendations for the Director of Channel Acquisition and Head of Marketing.
  • Serve as the primary channel performance reviewer: monitor paid search and affiliate KPIs daily, detect anomalies in impression share, CVR, CPL, and partner attribution.
  • Partner with the Snr. Manager Marketing Analytics / Operations to validate conversion tracking accuracy (including offline bind pass-back, UTM governance, and affiliate pixel integrity) and ensure optimization decisions are grounded in clean, reliable data.
  • Provide monthly and quarterly channel performance analyses, budget forecasts, and strategic recommendations to the Director of Channel Acquisition; contribute to executive-level reporting and the ISC retail marketing planning cycle.
  • Coordinate with BU leads and creative resources to brief and refresh paid search ad copy, affiliate creative assets (IAB banners, co-branded landing pages, partner templates), and landing page variants aligned to channel intent.
  • This is an individual contributor role with the opportunity for future management of junior team members.

Minimum Qualifications
  • 4-6 years of performance marketing experience, with demonstrated hands-on ownership of both paid search (Google Ads required; Microsoft Ads preferred) and affiliate or aggregator channel management.
  • Proven track record managing successful paid search programs, including experience with value-based bidding (target ROAS, target CPA) and non-brand keyword expansion in a high-CPC vertical.
  • Direct experience managing affiliate or aggregator partner relationships, including partner onboarding, performance reporting, and commercial optimization; familiarity with affiliate platforms (Impact, Commission Junction) strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytical fluency: comfortable diagnosing performance shifts at the campaign, ad group, keyword, and partner level; proficient in Google Analytics 4 or comparable analytics tools; experience with Looker or BI dashboards a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple business units simultaneously in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment.
  • Insurance, financial services, or other regulated/high-CPC vertical experience preferred; familiarity with insurance aggregator platforms (Tivly) a meaningful plus.
  • Clear communicator with strong written and verbal skills; able to present performance findings and channel recommendations to senior stakeholders concisely and confidently.

The starting annual pay scale for this position is listed below. Actual starting pay will be based on factors such as skills, qualifications, training, and experience. ISC's salary ranges are determined by role and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations and could be higher or lower based on a multitude of factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

National Pay Range

$100,000-$110,000 USD
