Job DescriptionChief Financial Officer (CFO)Location: Scottsdale, AZ
The CFO will oversee all aspects of the finance organization, including accounting, financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, compliance, reporting, treasury, risk management, and the development of scalable financial infrastructure. This role will also play a critical part in preparing the organization for future capital market opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute financial strategies that support business growth, operational excellence, and long-term scalability.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership by providing financial analysis, strategic recommendations, and decision support.
- Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and performance reporting processes.
- Establish and maintain strong internal controls, financial policies, and enterprise risk management practices.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, applicable regulatory requirements, and financial reporting standards.
- Oversee cash flow management, treasury functions, capital planning, and financial modeling initiatives.
- Support strategic business initiatives, including pricing strategy, operational investments, vendor negotiations, and expansion efforts.
- Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, banking partners, and other financial institutions.
- Drive continuous improvement across finance and accounting operations to increase efficiency, visibility, and scalability.
- Recruit, develop, and mentor a high-performing finance and accounting team.
- Monitor industry trends, accounting standards, and regulatory developments to ensure organizational readiness and compliance.
- Partner with executive leadership to develop and execute IPO readiness initiatives, including financial reporting, governance, internal controls, and regulatory compliance.
- Build scalable financial systems, processes, and reporting capabilities to support continued organizational growth.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, accounting principles, corporate finance, and business operations.
- Demonstrated experience leading budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, cash flow management, and treasury functions within a growing organization.
- Deep understanding of internal controls, compliance, financial risk management, and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to analyze complex financial information and translate data into strategic business recommendations.
- Experience identifying operational efficiencies and implementing process improvements.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Experience supporting high-growth, rapidly evolving organizations is highly preferred.
- Experience leading or supporting IPO readiness or public company preparation is strongly preferred.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field required.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive finance and accounting leadership experience.
- Prior executive-level financial leadership experience required.
- CPA, CMA, or other relevant professional certification is preferred.
